How to become a trader

To become a trader at one of our markets you will need to provide the following documentation:

  • 2 forms of identification (e.g. passport and driving license).
  • A recent utility bill dated within last 3 months.
  • A copy of your public liability insurance. This can be obtained from your local insurance company or from The National Federation of Market Traders on 01226 749021.

Registering as a casual trader

Applies to Bolton outdoor market only

Bring all required documents to the customer service window on the day you wish to trade at 7.45am. You will be required to complete a 'new trader details form' on your first attendance for each of the days you wish to trade.

Stall allocation

At 8am the market officer will call out your name and allocate you an available stall. Payment for the stall is required immediately after stall allocation and prior to setting up goods on the allocated stall.

  • Tuesday – from £43
  • Thursday – from £43
  • Friday – from £21.50
  • Saturday – from £48
